Find out when we post

It's going to be a quiet couple of days Climate411. We're out of the office today and tomorrow at an off-site staff retreat, so I won't be able to post as often as usual. There's an easy way to find out if we've posted without having to come check every day.

Get posts by email. Just to the left of this, there's a sign-up box. Type your email address in there, click "sign up," and new posts will be delivered directly to your inbox.

If you use an RSS reader, subscribe! The link to our RSS feed is immediately to the left of this post, too. An RSS reader brings updates from sites you follow all to one place, so you don't have to keep visiting every site every day. The most popular reader is MyYahoo.com. Mail programs like Outlook have built-in readers, and sites like Google and AOL also offer readers. If you want to learn more about them, here's a neat video explanation.

Thanks for visiting, and have a great week!

Bike-to-Work Week

The League of American Bicyclists is promoting Bike-to-Work Week from May 14-18, and Bike-to-Work Day on May 18. Biking is the ultimate in clean transportation, emitting no greenhouse gases whatsoever. Plus it keeps you fit and it's fun.

Still not sure? Check out our stories from people who bike to work daily. If you decide to join in, tell us your experiences!

I am especially anxious to tune into 20/20 tonight. I am told I will be featured on two segments: an interview on solar energy and a panel discussion on global warming.

Tune In…

Tomorrow (Tuesday, April 10th) from 8:00-9:00am EDT, I will be on the Michael Smerconish Show. If you live in the Pennsylvania, New Jersey, or Delaware area, you can listen to it on AM 1210. It will also be available on the web.

Listeners will be calling in with questions - here's a sampling of what I'll be talking about [MP3]. It should be interesting!

My NPR Interview on Carbon Trading

Last Friday I was a guest on NPR's "Talk of the Nation: Science Friday", answering questions about carbon trading. You can listen to the broadcast here.
